What Does Best of South Carolina Regional Winner Mean?

The Guide to South Carolina’s annual awards recognize businesses throughout the state at three levels: Best of South Carolina, Regional Winner, and Honorable Mention.

The Regional Winner designation recognizes businesses on a regional level, separately from the statewide Best of South Carolina tier. Southedge Painting & Contracting appears in the Regional category for Painting Contractors in the 2026 results.

According to the organizer’s explanation of the awards program, winners are selected primarily through public voting. Its editorial and compliance team also reviews votes for validity and checks winning businesses’ standing with consumer reports and applicable trade organizations.
