With over 10 years in the industry, my goal is to build a successful painting business focused purely on quality that I can eventually pass on to my three children. When do you take payment?

We ask for a 30% down payment to buy materials and solidify your spot in our schedule. The remaining 70% is not due until after the job is completed and you are completely satisfied!

Can you provide references?

Sure thing! We can email you names and email addresses upon request. We leave a project portfolio for you to view while we complete your project proposal on-site the day of the estimate too.

Are you bonded and insured?

Absolutely! We protect our customers by carrying the appropriate coverages for general liability and workers compensation. Note: Many painting companies do not carry worker’s compensation because South Carolina is a bit loose on enforcing this law; property owners are liable if someone gets hurt on their property. We recommend using a company with worker’s compensation, even if it isn’t us!

What type of paint do you recommend?

We recommend Sherwin Williams paints because we have a lasting relationship with the brand and they produce quality products. This means if there is ever a manufacturing defect, we can trust that Sherwin Williams will stand behind their product — and your project. However, we can use any type of paint you wish…this is your house, after all!

What type of guarantee do you offer?

We offer a two year warranty on all projects. However, if you choose to use a high-end paint or double coat your home, we make it a five year warranty. If you ever have any issues, small or large, please don’t hesitate to call us. We strive to create “customers for life” and are here to help you with any questions!

How do you hire and evaluate your painters?

We are very selective in hiring our painters and administer a criminal background check for every painter. Most of our painters, especially our crew leaders, we have known for years. I trust them in the homes of my own friends and relatives.

How long have you been in business?

Southedge Painting is a proud new small business having started in 2022, but don’t mistake our young age with a lack of experience. Our painters have decades of experience and Mike has been in construction for over 10 years.

Does Southedge Painting and Contracting offer a warranty or guarantee on their finished work?

Yes. Southedge Painting and Contracting stands behind the quality of our craftsmanship with a written Workmanship Warranty. We provide every client with a detailed written agreement that outlines the specific quality of products and prep work to be included. If a paint failure occurs due to improper application or material defect within the warranty period, we will return to repair the affected area at no cost.

Is Southedge Painting and Contracting fully licensed and insured to work on my home or business?

Yes, Southedge Painting and Contracting is a fully licensed and registered painting contractor in the state of South Carolina. Furthermore, we carry comprehensive insurance coverage, including both General Liability and Worker’s Compensation. We are happy to provide certificates of insurance (COIs) directly from our provider upon request for any client.
