What Is the Best of South Carolina Award?

Best of South Carolina is an annual awards program recognizing businesses and organizations throughout the state.

According to The Guide to South Carolina’s award criteria, winners are selected primarily through public voting. Its editorial and compliance team also reviews vote validity and checks winning businesses’ standing with consumer reports and relevant trade organizations.

The program has several recognition levels. Southedge Painting & Contracting is listed in the Best of South Carolina tier, which the organizer identifies as its highest designation.

There is no fee to be nominated or selected as a winner. Optional advertising and merchandise are separate from the selection process.

Our 2025 award plaque displays L&J Painting, our former company name. Today, we operate as Southedge Painting & Contracting, the name shown on the official 2025 Painting Contractors winner list.

The name has changed, but our appreciation for the customers and communities supporting our business remains.
